Utilize Alternative Heating Sources

September 13, 2023 by Andrew Leave a Comment

Alternative heating sources can be a great way to winterize a house without heat. There are many options that can help you stay warm in the cold winter months and save money on energy bills. Electric space heaters are a popular option, as they are cost-effective, efficient, and take up little room. If more natural options are preferred, a wood-burning stove or fireplace is a great idea. Propane and kerosene heaters are also a good option, while a heat pump can provide a more efficient source of heating.

Passive solar heating from south-facing windows can also be used to keep the house warm, as the sun’s rays will enter through the windows and warm the air inside. This is a particularly effective and inexpensive method. Geothermal heating is another option to consider. This utilizes the natural warmth of the earth to heat the house. It is a sustainable and cost efficient way to winterize the house without the need for additional energy

Alternative Heating Sources

No matter what type of heating source you choose, be sure to have it inspected by a professional to ensure it is working correctly. Installing insulation or weather stripping around windows can also help you save money on heating bills. Regular maintenance should also be done to ensure the system is running as efficiently as possible. With a little bit of extra effort, you can successfully winterize a house without heat, and save a lot of money in the process. Read More>>>
